Hi! My name is Riya and I graduated from the Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2021 and have been working as a Speech Pathologist at Little Allied Health ever since!
I love working closely with the families at Little Allied Health, and forming strong connections with my clients so that we can create a space where children are feeling comfortable and ready to learn. I have a special interest and passion in working with children who struggle with their speech sounds, and working together to get their sounds nice and clear so I can hear all their amazing stories and ideas!
When I am not at work, you can typically find me at the beach hanging out with some friends, or in the kitchen trying to recreate some of my favourite Malaysian dishes – this is a work in progress!
You don’t need a referral to see an audiologist, although you may be able to access Medicare rebates when referred by an Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist, a Neurologist, or if your child has a Team Care Arrangement. Alternatively, audiology sessions may be claimable from your private health provider. If you have access to funding through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) we can provide services to self-managed and plan-managed clients.
